The Rev. Paul Johnson, Interim Rector
Paul began serving with St. David’s in September 2025. Previously, he has served with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Richmond, VA; Christ Church, Glen Allen, VA; and the Episcopal Church of the Cross in the Lake Travis area outside of Austin, TX. Paul and his wife Bernadette are parents and grandparents; share their home with a dog and a cat; and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, enjoying good meals, and traveling.
Bonnie Barthurst, Director of Music
In April 2002, Bonnie began working with the music ministry at St. David's. She loves every style of music, from bluegrass to opera, which makes her well-suited to lead our choir. She attended VCU, majoring in music. In December 2011, she passed the CPC exam (medical coding). Her son, Ben, is a graphics design artist with Southern Graphics and works as a liaison for Philip Morris. Her daughter, Jen, is a pharmacist for CVS.
Connie Sylvester, Parish Administrator
Connie joined the St. David's staff as Parish Administrator in January 2020. A long-time member of Enon Church of God, she served as the church secretary there for 10 years. She is married to Rocky and they have a son, Trevor. Outside of church, Connie enjoys listening to all kinds of music, classic cars and gardening. Her family loves animals and have rescued several kitties who now call the Sylvester house their home. |
