The Rev. Elizabeth Felicetti, Rector
Elizabeth began her ministry at St. David's in February 2011 and became bi-vocational in 2021. She currently works here twenty-four hours a week and writes the rest of the week. Her first book, Unexpected Abundance: The Fruitful Lives of Women Without Children, is available from Eerdmans. Elizabeth’s ministry passions are preaching and Bible study, and she holds masters’ degrees in both writing and divinity. Her husband Gary is a retired military judge who served in the U.S. Coast Guard for more than thirty years. Elizabeth and Gary have a poorly behaved rescue mutt named Pepper, who does not come to church animal blessings because she is so embarrassing. So, "What do we call a female priest?" Elizabeth prefers to be addressed by her Christian name by adults and "Pastor Elizabeth" by children and youth. rector@stdavidsrva.org
The Rev. Bill Jones, Deacon Emeritus
Bill has served St. David's twice, first from 1993 to 1996, and then from 2006 to 2021. Bill's ministry passions include prison ministry and service to non-profit organizations such as "Home Again," an agency dealing with homeless men, women, and children, which presented Bill with the Ann and Don King Community Leadership Award in 2017. Bill and his wife Lynn love our St. David's family and consider our parish to be their permanent church home.
Dana Blackman, Director of Christian Formation
Dana has been the Director of Child and Youth Formation since May 2021. She joined St. David's in 2014 when she and her family moved to Virginia. She is a member FORMA: The Network for Christian Formation for the Episcopal Church, is an active participant in CE-Net (the Christian Education Network) for the Diocese of Southern Virginia and she holds a BA in Technical Theater from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dana and her husband have 2 daughters and several rescue pets. In her spare time, she enjoys paddleboarding, hiking and going on adventures with her family. | youth@stdavidsrva.org
Bonnie Blaylock, Director of Music
In April 2002, Bonnie began working with the music ministry at St. David's. She loves every style of music, from bluegrass to opera, which makes her well-suited to lead our choir. She attended VCU, majoring in music. In December 2011, she passed the CPC exam (medical coding). Her son, Ben, is a graphics design artist with Southern Graphics and works as a liaison for Philip Morris. Her daughter, Jen, is a pharmacist for CVS.
Connie Sylvester, Parish Administrator
Connie joined the St. David's staff as Parish Administrator in January 2020. A long-time member of Enon Church of God, she served as the church secretary there for 10 years. She is married to Rocky and they have a son, Trevor. Outside of church, Connie enjoys listening to all kinds of music, classic cars and gardening. Her family loves animals and have rescued several kitties who now call the Sylvester house their home. |
