Children & Youth
Infants & Toddlers
At St. David’s we love and value children. They are always welcome during our services! Parents are invited to bring their small children up front for Pastor Elizabeth's children sermons each Sunday.
For small children who grow restless, we have a nursery space where you can sit with them. The service is provided through a speaker. Feel free to rejoin us when you can.
Preschool to Elementary Age
St. David's has exciting and enriching opportunities throughout the year for children and their families.
During worship, children are invited up front for the children's sermon and prayers of the people. We have Worship Bags for the children to borrow during the service with books and quiet toys, as well as provide coloring pages based on that Sunday's lessons. Children also have the opportunity to serve in the worship service as an acolyte.

Sunday school is offered for age 3 and up, and takes place at 9:00 (fall to spring). Learn about our classes by age.

We offer many other activities for children, families, and intergenerational fellowship throughout the year, including:
-
Bible Stories around the campfire
-
Ice Cream Social
-
Trunk or Treat
-
Christmas Pageant
Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)
EYC covers all the youth oriented activities at St. David's. From Sunday morning formation, to youth group and special activities, EYC has it all. Although we take a hiatus from Sunday school during the summer, the youth continue to meet for fun outings.

During the school year, there are opportunities to get to know other youth at St. David’s through regular meetings and special events including Youth Sundays in September and June, field trips, mission trips and the Youth Lock-In in June when we welcome rising sixth-graders into the EYC. We also team up with other church youth groups for events and service projects in our community.

Youths can also opt to take part in camp at Chanco on the James and the Happening spiritual retreat weekend, which are available through the Diocese of Southern Virginia.
